What
is the
IBO?
The
International
Baccalaureate
Organization
is a non-profit
educational
organization
that was
established
in 1968.
The IBO
is governed
by a 16
member
Council
of Foundation.
It is
funded
by fees
from IB
world
schools,
with additional
income
from workshops
and catalogue
sales.

What
does the
IBO offer?
The
IBO offers
three
programmes
from early
Kindergarten
to Higher
Secondary.

How
do I know
whether
a school
is IB
or not?
A
school
is only
an IB
World
School
once it
has received
its "Authorization"
to deliver
an IB
programme
from the
IBO in
Geneva.
It is
thereafter
known
as an
authorized
IB
World
School.
Only authorized
schools
may publices
their
IB affiliation
or use
the IBO's
logo
A
school
that has
began
the administrative
procedure
with the
IBO's
South
Asia sub-regional
office
receives
may say
that it
is an
implementing
school.
It may
take 2
or more
years
to beocme
authorized
depending
on the
programme
for which
a school
is seeking
authorization.
These
schools
may not
use the
IB's logo.
An implementing
school
does not
necessarily
become
authorized
unless
it complies
with IBO
standards
and requirements.

I
still
have a
doubt
on the
status
of a school
in South
Asia,
how can
I check?
