A Word from Fazanna Dohadwalla, our South Asia Sub-regional Representative....

A warm welcome to the SAIBSA Home Page.
SAIBSA is the acronym for the South Asia International Baccalaureate Schools Association.

Currently the activities of the association are :

  • Networking amongst authorized schools
  • Helping the implementing schools
  • Organising in-service teacher training modules
  • Organising cultural events for the IB students

The aim of this association is to help nurture the growth of the IB movement in
S. Asia and help many more teachers & students benefit from the unique IB programs.

The members of SAIBSA meet once every six months typically in an authorized school to exchange experience and knowledge. In early 2003, the SAIBSA meet was magnanimously hosted by the American School of Bombay. Over two hundred people from South Asia participated in the event. To tell us how to make next year's meet even more insightful, be sure to post your views on our SAIBSA Forums

MBIS hosted the SAIBSA meeting in February 28th 2004. Mercedes-Benz International School hosted a very successful exchange for IB World School faculty. For more on MBIS, visit http://www.mbis.org.
